While the main course of the lunch will differ, you’ll find that I often throw in the same sides. Here’s a list of snacks/sides that my kids happily devour:

  • String cheese (our favorite is the organic from Trader Joe’s)
  • Fresh fruit
  • Peanut butter sandwich crackers
  • Celery and almond butter
  • Carrots and hummus
  • Cucumbers, sugar snap peas and grape tomatoes
  • Trail mix
  • Rice crackers (GF)
  • Pirate and Veggie Booty
  • Yogurt in a tube (Stonyfield or Trader Joe’s)
  • Edamame
  • Seaweed
  • Organic beef jerky (Trader Joe’s)
  • Hardboiled eggs
  • Trader Joe’s Crunchy Curls – A Tasty Potato and Lentil Snack (GF)
  • Popcorn
  • Trader Joe’s Rice and Bean Chips with Adzuki Beans (GF)
  • Homemade grain-free “granola” bar (recipe is on this site)
